March 2010 Prayer Calendar

1. February was our month for lots and lots of snow here on the mountain. Our campers loved it! Praise God for the smiles on the faces of our Accommodations and Buildings & Grounds staff as they persevered to keep cabins clean and ready for guests and our roads, pathways and parking lots safe in spite of the difficult weather conditions.


2. Pray for these groups that are on grounds this week:
   ·      Ojai – Bishop High School
   ·      OCOSS (Orange County Outdoor Science School)
   ·      American Missionary Fellowship Retreat


3. Our entire staff would ask you to continue to pray that we would not forget that we are here at Forest Home to serve the Lord and that His joy would be our strength.
    
4. Please pray that we use the short preparation hours between guest groups well and wisely, and that our refreshment will come from our Father above.
    
5. Please pray that God touches the hearts of these guests on grounds this weekend:
   ·      Jr. Winter Camp #8
   ·      High School Winter Camp #4
   ·      Winter Women’s Conference
   ·      Rancho Bernardo Christian Crosstalk – Couples
   ·      CrossWinds Women’s Retreat
    
6. Pray for our staff, that they will find time each day to spend with the Lord.
    
7. Praise God for decisions made this weekend – pray that they will result in changed lives, strengthened families, and increased ministry.


8. Please pray for the recruiting season for summer staff – that the Lord will bring the right person for each position throughout camp.


9. Praise God for a great finish to the final weekends of winter camp this month. Pray for the students to continue to experience the truth and power of God that they encountered during their weekends of worship at Forest Home.


10. Pray for the timely completion of projects at both properties scheduled to be finished before the start of summer and for the staff involved with that work.


11. Annie Weems, our Hospitality Manager, has asked for prayer for her daughter who had surgery on February 24th. Please pray for a speedy and uneventful recovery.


12. Pray for our Board of Directors who meet this weekend at Mill Creek Canyon. Pray for God’s wisdom and direction as they gather to consider the business of Forest Home.


13. Pray for these groups that are on grounds this weekend, that God would speak to them in a mighty way:
    ·      Voyagers Church
    ·      First Nazarene Church
    ·      Kings Harbor
    ·      Forest Home Women’s Retreat
    ·      Ojai – St. John’s Lutheran


14. Pray for travel mercies for our guests and staff as they come up the mountain in many different types of weather.


15. Pray for the many school children that are on the grounds for Science Camp that they experience God through His creation.


16. Pray for our Accommodations Ministry team as they clean up from winter youth camps and begin the process of readying Mill Creek Canyon cabins and meeting rooms for the spring and summer seasons.


17. Remember to pray for the follow-up of the many decisions made here this winter in our youth winter camps, our adult conferences and our guest conferences.


18. Pray for our staff members with families to balance their passion for the work and ministry of Forest Home with their responsibilities as spouses and parents.


19. Pray for these groups that are on grounds, that they would realize the importance of God’s guidance in their lives:

20. Praise for our generous donors whose partnership is vital to our effectiveness as a ministry. Pray for a continued excellent year of ministry and that lives will be radically changed through Jesus Christ.


21. Praise for the work of the Safety Committee who helps to ensure that guests and staff are safe while on grounds. Please pray for our staff’s health as they are more susceptible to colds and flu during the winter weather changes.


22. Pray for our program directors as they are gearing up for the summer ministries. Pray for energy, wisdom, and creativity that will bring people into closer relationship to God and with each other.


23. Please pray for Loma Linda University and Evergreen Baptist as they are arriving on grounds today.


24. Our staff desire to grow in knowledge and in the strength of the Lord. Please pray that each of us would recognize the incompleteness of our own understanding and that God would straighten the path before us as we trust Him.


25. We have guests on grounds both at Ojai Valley and at Mill Creek Canyon almost every day of the week. Please pray that our guests feel cared for and ministered to and that they leave our care changed because of their encounters with the Holy Spirit.


26. Pray for God’s leading in these groups that are on grounds:
    ·      Forest Home Mother/Son Conference
    ·      St. Paul’s
    ·      Living Water
    ·      CREDO


27. Pray for our staff, that we will find our strength in God and walk a closer walk with Him. We are blessed to be here.


28. We have some key positions that need to be filled. Please pray that we’ll complete the process of discovery in a timely and God-honoring manner.


29. Calvary Chapel of Downey arrives today, pray that they would be refreshed and encouraged in the Lord during their time here.


30. LA Baptist will arrive at our Ojai Valley camp today, pray that they will have great fellowship and that they will go back and lead how the Lord wants them to lead.


31. Praises and prayer for God’s continued protection – that His hand will never leave this place!
