1. Pray for a sense of peace and relaxation for our guests as they arrive on the hill today.
Week # 7 Summer Camp begins at Mill Creek Canyon
Week # 6 Summer Camp begins at Ojai Valley
2. Pray for Reed Jolley, Pastor of Santa Barbara Community Church, as he shares what God has laid upon his heart for our Family Camp Guests. Pray that our guests will find special blessings in the week ahead.
3. The youth leaders who brought groups of kids up during the summer. Pray that the momentum from camp will continue in their lives individually and in the lives of their kids as well.
4. Please pray for the Brady family and for a healthy birth of baby Emberlyn and a speedy recovery for mom, Amelia.
5. The Pancake Breakfast is at Inspiration Point this morning. Pray for a renewed appreciation of God’s creation as the family campers enjoy the wonderful surroundings.

7. Please continue to pray for the health and strength for our entire staff as we head into the last month of summer.
8. Ask God for travel mercies for families, individuals and church youth groups coming for a week of camp filled with fun, memories and life-changing programs.

9. Pray for Bob Kraning, Good Word Ministries, as he speaks to our Family Campers this week. Pray that God touches hearts this week.
10. Pray for all camp counselors – that God will bless and use them. They have a huge impact on the lives of their campers. Pray that God would soften student’s hearts and draw them to Himself.
11. Praise that camp is going well and a blessing for so many at our Mill Creek and Ojai Valley sites.
12. Please pray for campers, counselors, and staff to encounter Jesus and apply His word to their lives every day!

14. All the youth who accepted Christ this summer or made other significant decisions regarding their walk with the Lord. Pray for the leaders in the churches as they follow up and keep in contact with these kids.
15. Pray staff stays enthusiastic and that campers come prepared for one of their best weeks ever!

17. Pray for Albert Tate, Intergenerational Pastor at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, as he speaks to our Family Camp Guests. Pray for him as he helps our guests learn how to live for Christ.
18. Pray for all of our hourly staff. They fill important and strategic positions at Forest Home. Also pray that hourly positions, opening up after school starts, will be filled quickly and with God’s choice for workers.
19. There are “wrinkles” in any software change, especially with Registration software. Please pray that we would be wise in tweaking these issues.

21. Pray for those who will be moving on to new adventures with the end of summer, whether it be to new ministries here at Forest Home, to new jobs elsewhere, to new schools, and other adventures, that they will continue to find God’s blessings in their lives.
22. Pray for those who have accepted Christ as their Savior during their vacation time here at Forest Home. We have been blessed to have them here.

24. Several of our staff have requested prayer for family members who have or will soon be deployed to the Middle East and other parts of the world as part of our country’s war on terrorism. Pray for safety of our military and God’s resolution to the war.
25. Pray for God’s continued hand of protection on our properties from fire and other natural disasters.
26. Pray for unity and support of each other as we transition from summer to fall. The Briefing Conference is coming up Labor Day weekend. Pray for God’s guidance as staff completes their preparation for this BIG weekend and for all those young people who will make their way up the mountain to find God’s blessing in preparation for what lies ahead.

September 2010 Prayer Calendar
1. Praise for the marvelous work and ministry of our full-time, part-time, hourly and summer residential staff this summer. Many of our summer staff and hourly staff are returning to college. Please pray for them as they leave this ministry field but continue to minister on their campuses.
2. Pray for all the families who were with us this summer and that the commitments made at Forest Home will continue to be real in their lives.
3. This weekend’s Briefing, a tradition begun by Henrietta Mears so many years ago. Pray for a life changing conference that will spread the love of God throughout the country as these young people return to their campuses and jobs filled with the Holy Spirit. Also, pray for these groups that are on grounds this weekend:

4. Changes in technology afford us the chance to improve our guests’ experiences with Forest Home. Pray for God’s leading and wisdom as we balance stewardship with improved experience.
5. Another full day of blessing and fellowship for our guests as they prepare spiritually for a new year of college or returning to their homes and jobs. May they be on fire for the Lord.
6. Our mechanic, Richard Cross, has asked prayer for direction, wisdom and healing.
7. Praise to our Lord for providing enough Child Care Assistants (CCA’s) for each week of Family Camp this summer and pray that God would continue to provide the right girls to CCA for our fall family conferences.
8. Many campers and staff have encountered Jesus in new ways this summer. Please pray that these encounters will impact families and friends as Jesus shines in these lives.
9. There are a number of openings in the different Forest Home departments. Pray for God’s guidance as we interview to fill these pivotal positions.
10. Please pray for these groups that are on grounds this weekend. Pray that they will find a release from the distractions of this world in order to encounter their Lord in a very real way.

11. A number of staff have family members who are in the military or activated reserves. Pray for the safety and endurance of our military and for a sense of peace and strength for their loved ones at home.
12. Please pray for our staff as we continue to serve guest groups during the non-summer months. Please pray that we will be able to meet their needs and provide a great environment as they come for spiritual refreshment.
13. Mountain and Sea Adventures (MSA) arrive today for Science Camp. Pray for a good time of learning and that they will see our Creator in everything they do.
14. Continue to pray for our Operations Departments: Buildings & Grounds, Accommodations and Food Service as they continue to serve our guests faithfully even after a very busy summer.
15. Pray for the counselors who come up with their campers – that God would prepare them and use them in special ways because they have a huge impact on the kids.
16. Pray for all of Forest Home’s guests, many who face spiritual battles when they come to the mountain. Pray for a real time of connecting with God while they are here.

18. Remember the married members of our staff. Many have put in long hours throughout the summer season and now are gearing up for fall and winter camps. Pray for God’s hand of protection over their marriages and for a time of renewal to take place for each couple this fall.
19. Please continue to pray for the safety of our guests, staff and facilities as well as protection from natural disasters.
20. Praise God for our Women’s Auxiliary for the support they give to the Forest Home staff. Praise God for each one of them!

27. Continue to pray for the entire staff ministering at Forest Home – that we will find our strength in God and walk a closer walk with Him. We are blessed to be here.
28. Pray also that we as a staff will show the love of Christ through our actions and the words we speak to each other and to our guests and that the joy of the Lord will be our strength through the weeks ahead.
