Forest Home Statement of Faith
A Commitment to God's Word
- I believe in the plenary inspiration of Old and New Testaments, and hold them to be the very Word of God.
- I believe in the Deity of the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- I believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, his substitutionary atonement for sin, His bodily resurrection, and His personal, visible return to earth to reign in righteousness and glory.
- I believe in the person of the Holy Spirit and His work of conviction, regeneration and sanctification; Who indwells every Believer.
- I believe in the necessity of the new birth, in Salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone, and in the importance of a life committed to the Will of God, in Christ.
Why is this written in the I?
When the Forest Home statement of faith was first written in the 1930s - an important clause was agreed upon. Not one word was to be altered - ever.
Since this is signed by every member of the Board of Directors and all staff - it is written in the I.
