Faith & The Zip Line
October 06, 2010Enjoy a short story of a 76-year-old youngster who experienced camp at Time Out for Women on October 1-3, 2010.

I loved the zip line! When I stepped up to the concrete platform, the staff girls began to suit me up. First, they checked my shoes for the no open-toed shoe requirement. My feet were shod with the gospel of peace. Check! Second, I stepped into the harness, which I saw as the belt of truth buckled around my waist. Check! Third, they strapped on my helmet—the helmet of salvation. Check! Fourth, it was my turn. I took up the shield of faith to quench the fiery darts of fear. Check! All ready to go! I climbed the ladder to the top. Each step was a step of anticipation and total excitement.
Hurrah! I am now ready to fly! On the count of three, I ensured my shield of faith was in place, and then boldly took that leap of faith that would give me the ride of my life! WooHoo!!!! WHAT A RIDE!!!!
Thank you Forest Home for a wonderful retreat! It encourages your physical stamina when faced with the mountains before you; it encourages your spiritual stamina when faced with the mountains of life before you!
See you next year!
