Forest Home provides a place, away from the distractions of the world, to hear the Word of God and encounter Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Henrietta Mears, the founder of Forest Home, was a visionary. She saw amazing things no one else could see.

In 1937, Miss Mears recognized that young people needed a place away from the city where they could go for summer conferences and be challenged to follow Jesus. Since then, hundreds of thousands of people have come to Forest Home and made life-changing decisions for Christ. Today we minister to nearly 57,000 people 355 days each year.

It is the desire of Forest Home to ensure upcoming generations have the chance to experience God at Forest Home. To that end, we have created the Forest Home Foundation to serve you as you seek to honor God in the planning of your estate. One aspect of the Foundation is our Henrietta Mears Society. The Society is made up of individuals who share Henrietta Mears vision and have included Forest Home in their estate plans.

Life Impact Monthly Partners Program

Here at Forest Home, we have the incredible privilege of watching God impact people’s lives each and every day. It’s an awesome experience to see how he draws people to Himself – sometimes for the first time, other times drawing them into a deeper relationship with Him, or perhaps even calling them into full time ministry.

Regardless of the experience, we see God consistently impact lives here at Forest Home with the message of His hope, His unconditional love and His healing touch. We see Him move in the hearts of men, women, boys and girls. We joyfully watch Him bring healing to hurting teens, marriages and families…we marvel as He continues to impact lives for eternity. Wow, it really is possible and it happens here day in and day out.

This is why we created the Life Impact Partner Program. We know when someone prays for and gives to a ministry like Forest Home, that gift is used to impact lives forever. The bible tells us that when people pray and give, they are part of the ministry that makes that impact.

President’s Circle

Forest Home Women’s Auxiliary

Have you ever had a call on your life from God that was so strong you couldn’t ignore it...that is what happened to Martha Mortenson.

In 1962, Martha Mortenson answered a call from God to create an organization with the straightforward and admirable goal of maintaining the cabins at Forest Home. Martha also began to enlist other dedicated women who wished to serve God in tangible ways. Now, 46 years later, God has blessed Martha’s legacy in a huge way. There are now 34 chapters of the Forest Home Women’s Auxiliary spread throughout Southern California.

The worthwhile and cooperative fundraising efforts of these dedicated, Christ-centered women have contributed over 3.5 million dollars to camp Camperships allowing men, women, boys and girls from all over the nation to attend Forest Home and hear the message of Christ. FHWA has also provided funds for buildings as well as projects that preserve the camp’s standard of excellence.

Over the past several years, the women of the Auxiliary have raised funds to provide Forest Home with:

• Camperships for over 900 people
• Convection Ovens
• Pizza Ovens for the Clubhouse
• Cappuccino Machine
• Ice Cream Showcase
• New decking for Chipmunk Corner
• Chairs for Lakeview and Creekside
• Biltmore remodel & expansion for handicapped access

The Forest Home Women’s Auxiliary has also established the FHWA Campership Endowment through the Forest Home Foundation. This will keep the legacy of FHWA and allow lives to be impacted through the ministry of Forest Home until Christ returns. Volunteering at Forest Home

Are you interested in using your talents and abilities as a volunteer with Forest Home? We are continuing to develop opportunities for you to partner with us in ministry.

Project Volunteers

If you are a contractor with skills in carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, painting, electrical, vehicle maintenance and repair, etc, we may have ongoing projects that could use your assistance.

If you have skills and abilities in healthcare, marketing, sales, administration, or another field that may be of interest to Forest Home, and would be available for projects throughout the year, we would also like to hear from you.
