Frequently Asked Questions:

What is FamilyLife Week?
Forest Home is partnering with FamilyLife to create a week of Family Camp that is surrounded by the ministry of FamilyLife. It will have everything you have come to expect from Forest Home Family Camp, with the ministry of FamilyLife added. Our Speakers Bob and Ed will focus on Biblical Marriage and Parenting Topics. Our breakout seminars will be connected with FamilyLife curriculum.

Who is Family Life?
Campus Crusade for Christ was started from a prayer meeting at Forest Home. In 1976, the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ (now called Cru) saw young couples on staff struggling and knew something must be done.

Forty-plus years later, with over 3 million people attending events, 1.6 million weekly radio listeners, and resources in over 100 countries, FamilyLife is ready to bless Forest Home Family Campers with an amazing week.

Their website is FamilyLife.com, they have published multiple books on marriage and parenting. They are one of the most popular Christian Radio broadcasts, and have an extremely informative blog.

Who is speaking?
Bob Lepine is Senior Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of FamilyLife and co-host of FamilyLife Today, FamilyLife’s nationally syndicated radio program. Bob holds a degree in communications from the University of Tulsa and has worked for many different local radio stations. Bob and his wife, Mary Ann, live in Little rock, Arkansas, where he also serves as an elder and teaching pastor at Redeemer Community Church.

Ed Uszynski (Ph.D. in American Culture Studies) works with Athletes in Action, the sport ministry of Cru, and is an elder at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Xenia, Ohio. He and his wife, Amy, have four children. He works out his salvation as a long-suffering fan of Cleveland sports teams.

In a picturesque mountain setting, your family will be engaged by FamilyLife’s Bob Lepine and Ed Uszynski who will challenge your spiritual walk.

Your children will be loved and taught in fun, age-specific programs throughout the day and tenderly cared for in your cabin in the evening by your family’s very own Child Care Assistant. (No, you’re not dreaming!) You will be able to sit down during dinner to enjoy hot, delicious meals prepared by our skilled staff and take that much-needed break from the chores.

Whether you feel like plunging down the zipline or journaling in the chapel, going for a hike or indulging in a milkshake, FamilyLife Summer Family Camp at Forest Home offers a unique blend of experiences for your whole family to make impacting memories to last a lifetime.

You won’t regret the time away from the screens, busy day-planner, and baseball practice. Find your rest, find your purpose at FamilyLife Summer Family Camp at Forest Home!
