Wouldn’t it be great to have a break from cooking meals, cleaning the dishes, and entertaining your tribe? Could you imagine some time away that allowed for quality time with your spouse, spiritual renewal, and bonding time with the whole family? Wish you could get away for a week-long retreat, but you just can’t take the time to plan and coordinate it all?
Forest Home Family Camp strives to be the experience your family needs to reconnect, rediscover, and relax. Best of all, we have it all planned out for you!
In a picturesque mountain setting, your family will be engaged by dynamic speakers to challenge your spiritual walk. Your children will be loved and taught in fun, age-specific programs throughout the day and tenderly cared for in your cabin in the evening by your family’s very own Child Care Assistant. (No, you’re not dreaming! A personal babysitter all week long!) You will finally be able to sit down during dinner to enjoy seventeen hot, delicious meals prepared by our skilled staff and take that much-needed break from the chores. All of the major perks of a Summer Family Retreat are condensed into one spectacular all-inclusive week away at Forest Home.
When we say all-inclusive, we truly mean it. Your stay will be Sunday to Saturday – six whole days! Included in the price of only around $200 per day are 3 full meals each day, all the fun activities and programs, daily worship, engaging Bible teaching and enlightening workshops. Guess what – the child care is included in the price too!
Yes, you read that right.
Whether you feel like plunging down the Zip Line or journaling in the chapel, going for a hike or indulging in a milkshake, Forest Home offers a unique blend of experiences for your whole family to make memories that will last a lifetime. Love to swim? We have pools and a lake. Got a competitive streak? Challenge your kids to a round of miniature golf or horseshoes. The possibilities are endless!

Speaker: Ricky Jenkins
Ricky Jenkins is the Senior Pastor of Southwest Church in Indian Wells, CA. Southwest is a thriving community of believers compelled by its vision to be a gospel-centered, multiethnic, intergenerational church that LOVES discipleship!
From his beginnings in Pearl, Mississippi, all the way to Oakland, California, to Memphis, Tennessee, and Chicago, Illinois, Ricky has been preaching the gospel for over 20 years. Fueled by Acts 20:28, Ricky is called to pursue God passionately and pursue God’s people compassionately for the glory and honor of Jesus Christ. With a shepherd’s heart, Ricky’s preaching weaves together biblical exposition, vivid illustration, heartfelt application, and an extra helping of humor with which to convey the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ.
Ricky is married to the light of his heart April Jenkins. Together they have three beautiful children—Camden, Grand, and Andi. Ricky is currently pursuing a PhD in Historical Theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago, IL. His research interests revolve around pastoral leadership, racial reconciliation, and issues of justice during the Civil Rights movement. The Jenkins’ have been serving in the Coachella Valley since January of 2018. They enjoy opening their home to create safe spaces where the gospel can flourish and memories can be made.

Speaker: Albert Tate
Albert is the founding pastor of Fellowship Church—one of the fastest-growing multiethnic churches in the United States. He began in ministry pastoring just a few families at Sweet Home
Church in Mississippi before serving the historic Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, California. Hearing the call from God to plant a church, Albert and his wife, LaRosa, launched Fellowship Monrovia in January 2012. In its short history, this gospel- centered, multiethnic, intergenerational church has already established a solid foothold in the region for life transformation to the glory and honor of Christ. As a dynamic communicator, Albert is passionate about sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ both to the local church and the global community. Blending the power of storytelling with a good sense of humor, Albert enjoys illustrating God’s amazing grace and love in church, academic, and conference settings.
Albert and LaRosa have four beautiful children. Albert serves on the Board of Trustees at Azusa Pacific University, the Global Leadership Network and Global Church Planting Organization, Stadia. He was recently published in Letters to a Birmingham Jail: A Response to the Words and Dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and in 2018 launched the Albert Tate Podcast.

Worship: Aaron Kellim
Aaron Kellim is a singer/songwriter and worship leader from Los Angeles, CA. He has been creating music and leading worship since he was sixteen, and has traveled the country playing with bands such as Switchfoot and OneRepublic.

Host Pastor: Jeff Whye
Jeff has the privilege of leading the online campus at Sandals Church where each week more than 25 thousand people cross the U.S. and the globe click on for their church experience! Jeff spent 10 years in the entertainment industry involved in production, acting, voice overs, sketch, improv and stand-up comedy. He spent 8 years on staff at 3 different universities including, Azusa Pacific, GCU and Arizona Christian within student life and as an adjunct professor. His pastoral ministry is made up of 10 years as a youth pastor, teaching pastor and campus pastor. Jeff is certified in 2 different personality assessments including strengths finders and has held workshops for students and staffs. He has been a part of vision trips and leading ministry teams to Thailand, Israel, Palestine, Salt Lake City, UT, Zimbabwe and Mexico. His undergraduate degree is from Anderson University in IN and he gained his Master’s degree, as well as his wife ;o) from Fuller Theological Seminary in CA. Jeff speaks at churches, conferences, universities and chapels across the nation. His passions are topics of unity in the church, racial reconciliation, the plus side of differences in marriage and discovering your strengths. Jeff is married to his hot nerd of a wife Nicky and together they have 4 beautiful kids and reside in southern California!

* All deposits are non-refundable and due at the time of registration
* All [Cedar Ridge] units have a minimum occupancy requirement of 2-5 guests per room
* A $750 per person upcharge will be added for booking below the minimum in Cedar Ridge
* Cedar Ridge Studio: 2 guests minimum
* Cedar Ridge 2-bedroom, 1-bath: 3-4 guests minimum
* Cedar Ridge 2-bedroom, 1-bath with Living space: 4 guests minimum
* Cedar Ridge 2-bedroom, 2-bath with Living space: 5 guests minimum
* All Premium housing units have a minimum occupancy requirement of 3 guests per room
* A $700 per person upcharge will be added for booking below the minimum for Premium housing
Payment Deadlines:
• All payments made for Summer 2023 are non refundable starting October 1st 2022
• The full balance is due no later than May 1st
• At the discretion of Forest Home, prices are subject to change at any time
• If you are a church or group and have a signed agreement, please refer to your contract for payment guidelines
