Theme and Curriculum

Each summer we center camp around a theme and verse that comes to life through teaching, worship, and age-specific curriculum—so kids, teens, and adults all dive into the same biblical truth together, growing closer to God and to one another.

Family Camp Daily Schedule

Every day at Family Camp is designed to balance family time, fun activities, spiritual growth, and rest. While the schedule may vary slightly by event, here's what a typical day looks like for each member of your family:

Common Questions About Family Camp

What is Family Camp?

In the shortest way we can put it: Family Camp is an all-inclusive, Christ-centered vacation where families grow closer to God and each other… and have tons of FUN!

How long are the camp sessions?

We now offer 3-night, 5-night, and 6-night events to fit your family’s schedule.

What does a typical day look like?

The bell rings for meals and your day can be as full or as restful as you want. Kids dive into their own age-specific programs with counselors, while parents attend their morning session with worship and a message. Afternoons are wide open for free-time with ziplines, waterslides, escape rooms, or just hanging out together. Evenings include an evening session for parents while all kids are cared for. Contact us and we’ll send you a sample schedule!

What's included in the price?

Your cost covers it all: lodging, all meals, children & youth programming, evening babysitters, speakers & worship, and REC activities. You don’t have to spend a single penny while you’re here!

Are discounts or scholarships available?

Yes! Here are a few ways families save:

  • Early Bird Pricing: Register by December 31 to lock in our lowest rates! The earlier you sign up, the more months you have to spread out your payments, making it even easier on your budget.
  • Referral Discount: Invite another family to camp and get $500 off a 6-night event or $250 off a 3-night event. You can keep the savings, give it to them, or split it! Just contact our team and we’ll apply the discount! Please note that referred family must be new to Forest Home Family Camp with a minimum of 3 paying guests.
  • Family Scholarships: Need a little help making camp possible? Apply for a Forest Home Family Camp Scholarship, we’d love to partner with you to get your family here.
  • Church Scholarship: Bringing your church or a larger group? If you’ve got 8+ families, reach out to us, we’d love to talk about scholarship opportunities for your group!

Do you offer flexible payment plans?

Yes! You don’t have to pay everything at once. Here’s how it works:

  • Reserve your spot with a $50 per person deposit.
  • Pay the balance in monthly installments.
  • If your plans change, payments (minus the deposit and registration fee) are refundable until March 1, 2026.

Contact our team for more details, we’ll help you set up the option that works best for your family.

Can large groups or churches attend Family Camp?

Yes! We love partnering with churches. We believe families are the heartbeat of the church, and when they are strengthened, the whole body is strengthened. We would be honored to partner with your church or group to make this experience accessible for your families. We do special things to make camp a meaningful experience for large groups, so please contact us and our team will walk you through the details and options. We’ll not only walk you through the details but also give you the materials you need to help promote Family Camp to your congregation.

Do parents really get free time?

We understand that most vacations don’t always feel like vacations for you parents. That’s why every evening, a babysitter meets you at your cabin for kids 10 and under so you can attend the evening speaker, enjoy a date night, or connect with other parents. During the day, kids’ programs also give you time to join adult teaching and rest. We want Family Camp to feel like a true vacation for you!

What if my family has dietary restrictions or food allergies?

Our chefs can accommodate most common allergies and diets, including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and nut-free (our kitchens are nut-free facilities). If you have severe allergies like Celiac Disease, we ask that you bring pre-cooked, pre-portioned meals in microwave-safe containers. Refrigerators and microwaves are available in our dining halls. For detailed questions, contact Guest.Dining@foresthome.org

What makes Family Camp different from a normal vacation?

At most vacations, you end up doing all the work. Packing snacks, keeping the kids entertained, cooking, cleaning, and coming home more tired than when you left. At Family Camp, it’s different. You get space to truly rest as a parent with built-in childcare (one of the top reasons families return year after year). You may be thinking of going to Hawaii, Europe, or somewhere else, but those vacations don’t leave you refreshed, rested, and transformed like Family Camp does.

And the best part? You’ll leave the mountain with a full heart, practical tools to strengthen your family’s faith, and the peace of knowing your kids are building a foundation in Christ from a young age. We promise: no other vacation can do what Family Camp does.

What should we bring?

Visit our Prep for Camp page for a full packing list and everything you need to know before you arrive.

I'm a single parent, can I attend?

YES! Family Camp is for all families. You’ll feel welcome, and you certainly won’t be alone. Many single parents attend Family Camp each year and enjoy the chance to connect with their kids, find community, and have fun together!

I'm a grandparent, can I attend?

YES! We have many grandparents who attend Family Camp alongside their adult children and/or grandchildren. It’s a special way to enjoy time together and grow in faith as a whole family.

Is Forest Home affiliated with any denomination?

Forest Home is an independent Christian organization with no denominational affiliation. We welcome speakers from a variety of backgrounds, but every speaker and staff member must affirm our Statement of Faith.

What is the lodging layout?

Is there first-aid available on-site?

Yes. We have licensed medical staff (RNs and MDs) on-site 24/7 to care for any needs that may come up during your stay.

How are staff selected?

All staff complete a Live Scan, pass a background check, and affirm our Statement of Faith before serving at camp.

Who are the speakers/worship leaders?

Our incredible leaders who come from all around the world! Each brings a unique perspective, but all are committed to Christ and serving families at camp. Read each of their bios above to see who will be at your event.

Is there Wi-Fi?
