Countless marriages saved and restored. I would always lead the victory circle night and ask the couples to renew their covenant with each other by taking a personal moment holding hands, looking each other in the eyes and recommitting themselves to each other by saying “I’m 100% in… I’m committed to Jesus, and I’m committed to you… no matter what.” I have heard dozens and dozens (probably near 100 over the years) of couples share with me that their marriage was pretty much done and over, and their Forest Home week saved it completely.

The week at Forest Home allowed us to disconnect from the world. Our oldest daughter loved that mom and dad never used their phones! As a mother of four, it was such a gift to not have to cook, clean, or prepare a week's worth of meals. Our kids were so loved and enriched by their counselors, and well taken care of by our CCA’s. It allowed us to the enjoy the blessing of worship with Justin Unger. We learned so much from hearing great teaching by Jim Burns and Jason Carson. We enjoyed camp and grew so much!

In June of 2021, I came to Forest Home for the first time as a guest of the More family. I was raised in a Muslim household and had been previously very hurt by the Christian church, so I was extremely guarded in terms of my faith and Christianity. At Forest Home, I encountered Jesus for the first time. On the last night of camp, I gave my life to Christ, and I never looked back. This camp is extremely important to both me and Aubrey, the community at Forest Home and the families that we attend this camp with have been major factors in my own salvation. Aubrey and I both understand how important it is to keep Christ at the center of our marriage and attending camp would be the perfect opportunity to begin our marriage rooted in Christ.
