Why Winter Camp Matters

Winter Camp has a special place in my heart, and I am so excited to embark on this journey with our ministry partners and their students. In just a short weekend, we cover so much ground and it’s a blessing to see what God does. We are so fortunate at Forest Home to — not only take a front row seat to the work of God in these students’ lives — but, also play a pivotal role.

It is my hope that each and every heart represented would have a tangible encounter with the love of God. It is important to me that these kids would walk away feeling a greater sense of ownership over their faith, as well as a motivation to go into their world and be a light for the Kingdom of God.

I truly believe that God has such a beautiful purpose for every kid we will minister to this winter season, and it is my hope that we could open their eyes to the calling to which God has placed on their lives. The Bible says in Matthew 19:14 to, “Let the little children come to Me”, and it is our prayer that through our programming and camp experience, that every child would find the path which leads straight to the arms of our loving Heavenly Father.
